WHERE WILDFLOWERS GROW, is based on my memories of living in a refugee camp in the Philippines as a child before my family and I were sponsored to emigrate to the United States from Vietnam. It follows Hà in her final moments at camp as she tries to hold onto her best friend and the simple life that she loves while embracing a new future ahead.
To help bring this story to life, I would love to visit your class or school!
